Just to show you what i have being up to the last god knows how many months!!!!

I found a crash damaged Nissan 200sx S14a, which i bought with the intention of putting back on the road. I was told the car was only a CAT D write off, untill i sent off the V5 and i recieved a letter saying that it was actually a CAT C and i could only have the V5 once the car was repaired and put through some sort of test. "YES I KNOW HPI CHECK FIRST" you live and learn.

Looks good don't you think?

Maybe Not!!!

Well after finding out that the car was a CAT C i looked at my options and decided that if i repaired the car it would always have the fact is a CAT C over its head. So i decided to strip it doen and re-shell it.

Now i had to get rid of the donor car which was now a nearly bare shell.
Still Saw out.

All done on the drive, my neighbours must hate me.

So off we went on a road trip to collect the new shell. So trailer on back first stop South Wales to pick up my new wheels then onto Portsmouth, well nearly i about fell asleep so we stoped about 45mins away in a travel lodge found the nearest bar and got a drink.

Next morning we make it to portsmouth the shell is not rolling so we have the not so easy task of getting it on the trailer. After an hour or so we are loaded up and on our way into London about 15mins from Peckam. "WITH A TRAILER ON". We picked up some other bits and headed out of London, well im a tool and forget how wide the trailer is and drive between two posts "THE LANE NEXT TO ME WAS MENT FOR WIDE VEICHLES" Well as you guessed i got the bloody thing stuck in the middle of London.

I had alot of upset people behind me. We finally just draged the thing through hitting the two posts. OH WELL!!! Now home.

Got the shell back to my parents after i promised them it would be there about 3 weeks at most. "YEAH WHAT EVER"

Now the task of getting it off the trailer. My Dads idea worked better than mine would have i would have been happy just attaching it to a tree and driving off.

Well we put boards under it and jacked up each corner bit by bit and using tyres we got it high enough to drive the trailer out from under it.

The shell was also high enough to easily get the sub frames on. With subframes susbension and wheels on i could lower it bit by bit with the jack.

I now have the engine and gearbox in. I had abit of fun with the imobilisor but it runs fine now, i just need to mount the front mount intercooler.

I have just finished putting the interior back in, and its starting to look like a car.

I took most of the left overs off once it was cut in half as i needed them. The bits i have left don;t seem tosell well. Shame
