ok well here is my project, take one s13 and one 1960 ford 100e pop and see what you get.... well thats a rough idea to it

right today have started stripping the engine and loom down, my god what a loom

the s13

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d157/minimankris/DSCN0695.jpg

the pop

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d157/minimankris/DSCN0696.jpg

took radiaotr air box and intercooler pipes off, also i have undone the ehar box moutns so i can remove the engine at the weekend

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d157/minimankris/DSCN0699.jpg

hmmmmm nice n rusty

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d157/minimankris/DSCN0703.jpg

dash out

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d157/minimankris/DSCN0702.jpg

OH MY GOD!

here are a few progress pics, just need to remove exhaust and steering collum and the car will be ready to lift over the engine, its all read dropped a good 10 inches where it is no resting on bricks

few progress pics yesterday.... lots more loom

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d157/minimankris/DSCN0709.jpg

i conected everything back up as i removed it form the car so on theroy making her run wont be too much of a problem

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d157/minimankris/DSCN0710.jpg

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d157/minimankris/DSCN0711.jpg

i havnt got any pics of the engine hanging out and front cross member off yet as i got well and truely drenched yesterday when the heavens opened so i called it a day im hoping the weather will be better later so i can lift the body off.

im keeping the fuel injection because i have allready bought some bigger injectors.... plus i have a mate who is a bit of a guru when it comes to tuning theses engines, i will be happy with the scary side of 300bhp in a pop

not really too mcuh to see yet but hope you like the idea?

That's fantastic, I've love stealth engine swaps like that, especially when they're turbo charged:thumbs:

Keep up with the pics:nod:

It is going to be a mental project. Now I keep thinking to myself, why did I agree to doing this!

But yes, it is going to be a bit silly and a lot of fun. There's a lot of work to be done, but hopefully a 12 month or so timescale should cover it and we'll keep you all informed.

18-03-2007, 10:48
Nice idea. Will this just be an engine engine swap or something similar to the mad minor project, with s13 floorpan use?

Coupe
18-03-2007, 10:49
Engine swap with custom engine mounts etc.... The S13 floorpan is too long and too wide for the Ford Pop.

We've somehow gotta get round supplying drive from the 'box to the wheels yet!!!

Good luck with this project dude, that is going to be one mental pop.

lexan windows

Nevermind Kris, found I had the original photo on my PC anyway. Here's a slightly better photoshop of what it should look like - its a bit rough round the edges cos I rushed it:

I think he found the manifold on Ebay.

I think we must have been drunk when we decided to do this project. Or at least Kris was sober and I was drunk when he suggested it (I think thats more likely actually) and I just said 'Yeah that sounds like a good idea!!!!'.

Its kind of snowballed from there!

manifold apears to be well made, also all the ports have been ground off which i didnt expect after seeing some of the other manifolds on ebay, far better buy than an xs power and worth the extra couple of quid!

This looks like an excellent project! At the minute it looks very similar to how my anglia was a couple of years ago at the beggining of my project. Definetly reckon you have made the right choice with the engine! Mine has been great  . If you ever need a hand or advice on anything drop me a PM because I came across a few difficult bits but hopefully the same doest happen in the 100e. :sxoc: :D
