error code 10

I have been recently getting "error code 10" message on my Cd player head unit linked to the 6 disc changer in the boot.

The cd changer takes the cartridge and loads the disc, but i cant play any from the head unit...i just get the error message.

I have checked for loose cables etc.

Anyone know what it means, or any sites that have any relevant info?

Have tried seaching the web and found nothing.

Tis a pioneer system, but i am hoping that error messages follow some sort of standard

I had a similar problem with a Kenwood system. I think it was condensation on the lens as it would be intermittant. I think I then ruined it by spraying a Kenair aerosal into it!! Doh! Try opening up the machine and using a camera lens cloth to clean the laser assembly.
