im not sure to be honest, i had mine fitted at a garage. its a simple fit.

there are things like the safc that trick the engine into running more boost but to be honest im not sure how they work as ive never owned one.

Chip would be the best way IMO as you'll (hopefully) get the benefits of moddified map on the chip too. Norris design stage 1 or horsham stage 1 would be your best bets IMO :)

Dunc.

get the stage 1 chip, have a word with jez at horsham dev.Look for him in the traders section, he makes and supplies the chips. With the set up that you have you should get about 210-220bhp

The S-AFC can't trick the engine into running more boost, boost is actuator controlled. It can only "tweak" fuelling at various points along the map ie increase or decrease it. Problem is, it can only increase or decrease fuelling at the expense of retarding or advancing the timing - thus it can only "tweak in addition to" rather than completely replace a good chip IMO

I run a Stage 1 Norris chip in my car and have got a similar spec too you.I don't know how right it is but I've heard it overfuels on the T25 and is more suited to the T28 which makes it a sound investment if you ever decide to go to the bigger tubby though I would recommend you give Bren a call and get a Walbro fuel pump if you do wind the boost up. If you look in the for sale section you might find a Stage 1 chip or even an ECU with it already in like I did as there's plenty of people taking their cars to Stage 2/3.
Hope this helps mate
