Has anyone fabricated a replacement (MDF?) parcel shelf for the S13? or have peeps just strengthened the original one and chopped holes in it?

I'm looking for inspiration...I know it's out there somewhere:D

Most people i have come across have just used the std one, its pretty strong anyway cause of those 2 metal rod thingys running across.

But shouldn't take to long with a jig saw and piece of mdf to crack up a woodern one,then put a bit of carpet on it. lovely jubbly :)

i got a set of 7x10's in the standard parcel shelf of mine, and it holds them fine, so 6x9' s wont be a problem atall!
Like jacko said those 2 bits of metal give it loads of strength and stop it bending in the middle. Sounds good too!
