Just a question on uprating pre-facelift brakes. It's generally accepted that the 310mm ZX/S14 upgrade kit from Apex is the mutts nuts but what about rears? Do people just generally keep these standard?

It's just that I know particularly in drifting, some drivers prefer a rear brake bias so wondered how they compensate for that.

Also if your advice is to keep the rears as they are, where could I get them overhauled if need be? (Incase the pistons are sticking)

Cheers!

if you want to go bigger you always couls fit the ZX rears... iirc they are 297mm with a 2pot caliper..

would that require a hub swap over too? If so will an S13 run on ZX hubs or would it require s14 hubs?

Cheers!

Just redrill the discs. You will require cutom (or differnt to S13/Z32) rear hoses aswell.

ok sorted. What sort of place will re-drill discs?

Any engineering shop should do it. Ideally take your old disc (front will do if you have to) just so theyre sure of the PCD etc. Use ONE of the OE holes, redrill 3 more holes.

Bren sells redrilled 4 stud 300ZX rear disks. I've just got a set from him to fit on my S13. He sells the hoses for the 300ZX rear calipers too.
