Hello,

I've just got a 200sx. It needs a lot of work, but on the whole it's pretty solid. I'm looking forward to it being finished.

One thing has got me stuck. Under moderate to hard acceleration, the car get's to around 3.5k rpm and splutters, looses power for a moment (can be quite violent) and then gets going again. It might do this at a couple of spots through the rev range.

If I very smoothly feed the throttle it is usually ok.

The car has a 3" exhaust from the turbo back (too big?) and as far as I know, no other mods and standard boost.

Has anybody got any idea on what this could be? I'm going to be working on it over the weekend and I'd love to have it sorted for next week.

Thanks,

Nathan

Thats normally to do with something air flow related I think or possibly something like tappets but I've not hear of tappets going funny on a 200sx.

Lambda probs seem quite common though. Take a look around on here. People have written down how to test the lambda sensor. Something to do with two very fine fillement type wire/sensors or something.

Not really paid much notice.....that is untill it happens to me!! :D
