raising boost pressure

stick in colder grade plugs and a walbro fuel pump and I'd say you could run 15psi quite safetly. Upping the boost on the tired standard pump is usually a bit of a gamble.

ah .. forgot about that, you will need a chip to go above stock boost. Although Im not sure exactly how high you can go on a standard chip before fuel cut (12psi at a guess???) I'd be surprised if it didnt fuel cut with the exhaust, filter and fmic on a cold day.

You don't *need* a chip, but it will be better performance and better for the engine to have one. An HD stage 1 will suit that spec nicely :)

Fuel cut varies from car to car and day to day. I managed to hit 14.5psi in one of mine without hitting it.
