Sony CD Illumination

Anyone know if you can either change the illumination colour from amber to green or turn it off on a Sony 450 player?

Also can you turn the confirmation click off?

I've just disconected mine and now I get amber illumination of every button and an annoying clicking confirmation which I'm sure wasn't there before!

i take it you haven't got the sony manual
i'll dig it out tomorrow and pass on the relevant info
i'm right in assuming it's the sony fitted by nissan?

Try holding down the mode key whilst pressing one of the preset numbers, that used to do it on my mates old sony head unit.

Ive got the manual but it no help!

Tried this on Tuner and CD but no effect.

The manual just mentions the use of the Mode button for selecting band on tuner or cd/md.

I've looked on the Sony web site but can't find anything!

I could always try the Nissan dealer I suppose as a last resort :rolleyes:

dont know if this is any help but here goes
on model sony xr-c510rds (maybe the same)
muting the beep tone
press 6 bl skip while holding the sel button
changing the illumination colour
press 1 intro while holding sel

Ive got a 450 and guess what i've found it in the manual now too - page 14

I was looking for "click" not beep on the index and it doesn't mention illumination!
