View Full Version : URGENT advice needed Imports
Alright guys its me again, my mums currently in Japan visiting the folks, but shes knows someone in the car export market and might be going to a car auction. Might be able to pick up a real bargain there as cars sell so cheaply with low kilometres on them.
I need to know what the japanese equivilent of a s14 is, i believe they are called silvias, and i think the turbo version is a type R, am i right?
Also can anyone think of any other cars that might be going at a reasonable price compared to the uk. I'm assuming any Supra or Rx7 will still be very expensive?
any suggestions under £2000 welcome

Silvia K's is what you're after, Q's and J's don't come with turbo. (King, Queen, Jack)
Cheers Jenks, needs to be done quick as she's only over there for a week i think.
ERmmm, sorry to sound like a retard but whats a AE86?

If I were in Japan/Getting something in Japan it would probably be an S13 Silvia K's, as they're spesh :) There's also another car that I may be getting myself, but not saying shit till I actually get it ordered :D

That s13 silvia k looked pretty sweet, so is the spec for the s14 Silvia K the same as a Uk version?

Close enough to the UK spec for it not to be worth it imo (sorry Papa L :D ) You'd get more wow factor by bringing over something more rare if you ask me :)

Oh this thing is going to have a certain wow factor when I finish with it
As for the original post, do you mean £2000 in Japan or £2000 "all in".
If the latter, forget it. Look in the Autotrader or Ebay. Sorry to break it to you but you will not get a decent car of any description from Japan and on the road in this country for that sort of money.
