Hi there guys I am looking in to getting a set of AZEV Type A wheels.

I have been asking around regarding offset's for an 8.5 x 18 wheel and have had a reply.

"The type A" is a problem, it can be made to fit but you have to carry out body modifications Without getting to technical you have to run a lower offset on 18" A because of the shape of the spokes at the rear of the wheel, at the correct offset (30mm) the spoke will hit the brake caliper so you need to have around 26mm but then you have to modify you wheel arch to accomodate this fitting. Hope your with me"

Now im no expert for offset's so can anyone tell me if this is correct ? i dont want to have to sent the wheels back once they have arrived

And im assuming the arch mod is going to be rolling and not much else ?

Also would you say that a tyre size of 235/40-18 would be ok on these ?

Can anyone help me please

8.5x18 ET20 would fit ok if you rolled the rear arches. Yeah 235 would be fine

not sure about the offset question nick, but you can deffo roll the rear arches as i enquired about this not so long ago.

Have seen a set of those rims on a 300 zx, the rears had a huuuuge deep dish whilst the fronts were kind of flat. Looked mint :smitten: :smitten:

Thanks Jay

I have been looking for an affordable but great looking wheel for ages and I think I have found it now

I want to get this right first time, there is nothing worse than ordering a set of wheels then when you have them finding out they aint going to fit lol

I have heard so many people saying that they have got wheels to fit then wanted them spaced out further to get the right look as they sat in to far.

Just want them to go on and look the business with no need of spacers.

Thank you guys

I am now waiting for a price to come back for the wheels.

It is not going to be possibe to go wider than 8.5 on the rear as they do not offer an offset over ET20 on a 10 inch width and im not puting spacer's on lol

But im happy enough with 8.5 front and rear to be honest.

Thanks again guys

Just a warning, you may have clearance issues with the callipers at the front. I did with a wheel that had the spoke set back at the base... Just be careful and keep an eye on the gap between wheel and calliper when fitting them :)

Oh, and I'm running 8x18 ET20's on mine, and only had to have the rear arches rolled slightly after correcting the rear camber.

I hope they do fit though, they look
