You'll have to put at least one cat back in the system to get through the mot

I had to swap my "sports cat" for the OEM cat for it to pass the MOT, it only failed on CO. you could try going out and THRASHING your car so thats its extremely hot, then testing imeditaly. I dont mean a few runs to 70mph, I mean a good 15mins flatout, so that your WHOLE exhaust system is too hot to touch, then it will pass.
The garage i went to wouldnt do this, they just tested it when they were ready, hence it failed.

well i had just brought it to the place from about a 10 min drive from home (never made it above 4k

and i was running normal 95 ron in it so i dont think that helpped, we tryed everything it just made it on idel but any revs 2-3k never managed it, and we even tryed at 4k but the exhaust kept popping very very lightly so i dont think this helpped either...

its only the co2 that it failed on...

but ive got a (i hope anyway) front pipe to mid cat coming to me on friday (again hopefully) and ill get that fitted if all goes well but knowing me and my luck with rushed things something will be missing from the exhaust hes sending....

co = carbon monoxide, nasty stuff
co2 = carbon dioxide, what mammals exhale.

I did offer you the use of my original downpipe and main cat!! The offer still stands, but you'd need to get to Edinburgh to pick it up now. I was going past Dumfries last Sunday as well!
