Hi

I've got a T3 with a -34 actuator and a bleed valve.

When i bought the car it was set up to run at 18 psi but i've just noticed massive boost spikes up to 23 psi http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/eek.gif

I think that i should get rid of the bleeder and get an adjustabel actuator.

What could you supply me with, and at what cost.

Cheers http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif

The -34 is adjustable. Ditch the bleed valve, undo the locknut on the actuator arm, remove the actuator arm from the wastegate and screw it in one turn.

Reconnect everything and check to see what boost youre getting.

Repeat until youre satisfied http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif

Let me know if that doesnt make sense http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif

That's what doesn't add up, i've got a receipt for a -34 actuator, and that is what was stated was on it when it was up for sale. But at close inspection you can see that the arm has been welded to stop it being adjusted. It also has the old trick of the washers wedged in. http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/confused.gif

It looks like it has been made up.

Strange. If its a -34 then it will have -34 written on the diaphram housing. I cant see the point of welding the adjuster up??? Whats the point of buying an adjustable actuator, welding up the adjustable bit and then havinng to resort to washers to raise the boost!

Presumably its not really a -34.

I can do you a new -34 for £80 or a HKS item for £89 http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif

Im not an expect on 200 actuators either! LOL

The -34 is good for 20+psi but I couldnt say what the HKS one is ok for.

Ill check tommorrow when HKS re-open http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif

They never called back  :( Ill chase it up tommorrow.

The -34 has a stronger spring than a -31 and cost £80 rather than £65.

Hi m8

I asked around about the actuator and i got this response.

"A -34 can go well over 30psi, I would go for the Garrett actuator."

Do u stock these, if so how much?

Many Thanks

Andy :) :)

Andy mate, dont shoot the messenger. I phoned my HKS supplier and the technical manager at HKS Europe twice yesterday and then phoned them again today!

I couldnt for the life of me get hold of the guy at HKS Europe, he went from being on the other phone to being in a meeting to being out until later.

The guys at my distributer didnt know and like me were trying to get through to HKS Europe to get the information again without success.

Short of driving down to knock on the guys door there wasnt much else I could do.

So tell me, what boost range does a HKS actuator have?

Sorry if i sounded harsh but i needed one quick smart.

Still don't know about HKS, so i have got a garrett -34 one sorted out.

Thanks anyway. :)
