Just got home to find mine in the front room too. It looks smart, but now I have nowhere to sit in the house. Have to fit some stuff very soon I guess.

Cheers m8.

Note: I want to recommend bren to anyone thinking of getting some mods as he seems very helpful and I now have a m..., no sorry, an Apex exhaust for less than the cost of a mongoose. :) :)

Thanx bren.

Dons fitted his and likes his Im like a do with two ****s was the phrase he used!! LOL

Sadly the back box brackets are missing and despite the manufacturers insistance that they sent them with the systems it appears they did not as Ive been in touch with everyone whos bought a systems and no ones got the brackets.

Ive been onto the manufacturers again but the guy I need has gone home so Ive been onto the rep giving him ear ache and hes going to contact the guy this evening at home :)

No-one will regret buying one of Brens my exhausts, the quality is far better than a lot i,ve seen at twice the price.
I,ve lashed up a crude bracket until I get the proper jobby.
Me ears are freezing driving with the windows down but it sounds so good.
Well done Bren. :D

Bren, looks very nice (I like twin). I'm quite surprised. Good price also.
Actually, my investigations are for front discs, exhaust system and Fuel and/or Boost controller (APEXi SAFC for ex.)

You mention your APEX exhaust system is turbo back : what does it mean for CAT ? I want to keep my CAT. Can it be used as a CAT back system ?? (is there a pipe to take off ?).
How much do you estimate the carriage cost for France ?

May I have a pic of the complete line. Thanks.

FAO Dan and John
You will not be disappointed, this exhaust delivers both on tick-over and full on.
:D :D :D :D

dan
14-03-2002, 15:02
Does it burble and is it not too loud? :D

tubstar
14-03-2002, 15:03
So, don't you think I want to know that too don. :( ;)

Glad you are happy with yours, I am dying to put mine on.

Does it sound more like a burble now at idle, I have always been disappointed with exhaust note on standard.

dan
14-03-2002, 15:14
Idea  Someone be Really cool and record the Apex onto a Wav file etc??

don
14-03-2002, 15:23
Sorry Tubstar
On idle there's a deep burble which the lads down the local shops tell me is "way cool".
Just pottering about it isn't to obtrusive at all but floor it and it rorts like a b*****d as my admirers down the shops tell me.
Cheers Don

Only joking mate, used to being ignored anyway (violins?).

Am despirate to put mine on now, how did you bodge the fitting?

Cheers.

don
14-03-2002, 18:39
Wot do you mean bodge, this was a piece of technical wizardry. Seriously though I used 3
jubilee clips about 200mm dia, as used on dust extractor ducting, linked together around the back box and looped 2 more about 100mm dia under them and then around the 2 hangers on the chassis.
It helps if you've got a garage full of rubbish like I have, cos you always find something that fits.

bren
14-03-2002, 18:57
You should all have the proper hanger on Saturday anyway! :D

Get a m8 to help you preferably a sumo wrestler, you wont believe how heavy the thing is when ur rolling around under the car trying to support it and fit it together at the same time.

What a smart idea, drink all day. That will make the time fly coz it always does when your having fun. May even take the old zorst off. (Before I start drinking!)

As far as I know, I notice no bracket (1 or 2 ?) on the rear silencer (very near to the twin pipes) whereas they're available on a std exhaust !?
How do you fix it ?
I don't to scratch the road

don
15-03-2002, 14:47
The bracket is separate and wraps around the back box.

Nice.

Do you some standards about the exhaust noise in UK ?
How many dB does this line produce ? Anyone knows ?
I don't want to be stopped by police for a noise problem whereas I would have taken off the CAT ! (but this is under the car ;) )

Anyone has recorded a wav file ???? Post one please ...

dar
15-03-2002, 21:32
Gonna b putting the zorst on tomorrow morning (if the bracket turns up!), will record a wav on my phone and download it asap !
p.s. How DO you get your motor on the bottom of your replys ?

Its on, and I've even heard it now after a minor hiccup with the alarm.:(

I can't believe how good it sounds. Quiet enough at low revs not to p1ss off me neighbours but when I boot it, my god I need more moey. The petrol I am gonna waste over the next week.;)

REALLY REALLY recommend this to anyone!

Cheers Bren.
