As most of you know Ripper is at present unable to keep you up to date with all his news.

The big news story breaking is that Ripper is now the proud owner of a FIAT PUNTO 1.2 -
YES HE'S GONE FRONT WHEEL SCRABBLY SCRABBLY.

Thought you'd be interested!!!!

Lol, does a 1.2 punto have enough power to scrabble http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/wink.gif

And is it an auto http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif

.....I HAVE bought a very, very nice car, thankyou very much.

I haven't actually picked it up yet but, I'm reliably informed by the vendor, it's good for sub-8 seconds and 130.

Honest.

If you really want to know why I've bought it (Ripper starts to panic) I've just changed jobs and I had a choice;

1) A company piece of Vauxhall rubbish (sorry Spooky http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif) that I'll get taxed to buggery on or;

2) But my own car and the company will pay me a cash allowance.

BEFORE you state the bleedin' obvious I was told, in no uncertain terms, that the 200 was a definate NO and I must prove ownership of a sub-6 year old car which has at least four doors.

I've bought a Punto 'cos it's about the cheapest thing it's possible to buy without buying something built in Poland.

I actually get PAID to own it.

That is no real defence but that's the background info that I feel you are entitled to know.

Some of you who were at Donnington and Bristol knew this was coming.

Somehow, I don't think that's going to make life any easier.....(perhaps it's just as well I have no current web access).

Be gentle with me......

ALL FWD cars Scarbble.

I found the best thing is to pull away in fifth! http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif

And NO, it's a bloody MANUAL! 5 gears - and it doesn't make any difference which one you're in! http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif

Oh, and 49.6 mph (apparently)!

When's the next RR shootout? http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif

Sub 8 seconds to 2nd gear.

130 mpg.

Oddly enough, I recently read a survey of 'cost of warranty claims' and Fiat came out as cheapest! I suppose Toyota/Honda etc. are stuffed by spares prices.

At least it's Italian and loves to be caned!!! http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif

Why what Vauxhall you driving, and why you driving it?

Guess I'm out of the loop?
