Congratulations to Richard Burns on winning the World Rally Championship! You guys must be proud defeating us Finns... http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif

Ale,

I live in Swansea where all the servicing was done for the rally and all the racing was done in a 20-30 mile radius of my house and couldn't be bothered to go and see any of it. How slack is that?

I thought Colin McCrae was from Scotland ?. Like mmmm...Richard Burns Co-Driver. Now who was it from Finland who had a chance of winning. http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif

Well first non-Finnish Champion since 1995. I think it is fair to say that we had our chances this year also. At least it was closer than in F1...

I couldn't be happier! I'm a huge fan of Colin McCrae's mental 110%, take no prisoners style, but I'm chuffed to bits that Ricky Burnup should be there to pick up the pieces for England, the forgotten nation of rally drivers......

Did anyone hear McCrae's comments about his crash. It was a good crash, rolling god knows how many times absorbs the impact, rather than hitting something solid. http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/mad.gif

The Rally was decent this year - didn't quite see as much as I wanted but it's always good when it comes down to a last-round final. A shame about the crashes - glad McRae came out with no lasting damage, although I don't know what to make of Carlos's incident - surely people know the risks of standing not far from where extremely fast moving cars blat around on loose tarmac - these kind of things can and occasionally do happen and it is very sad and tragic, but when you have no real crash barriers protecting spectators there is very real risk.

Still, roll on next year - hopefully none of the top drivers will loose their spark and continue to give 100%

I wanted to see Carlos put his helmet in the boot without opening the tailgate again! Hee Hee !
