The SXOC is a car owners club run by a dedicated team of enthusiasts. The car that inspires us is the Nissan 200SX and is a powerful car in many ways. It has gripped like-minded drivers who enjoy the driving experience given from a great rear-wheel drive car that is rewarding to own. This appreciation has led to a very successful owners club and we welcome you to explore the forum.
Non-members can use the forum and access a wealth of information. The 200SX technical sections are impressive. Use the search facility and find out!
After spotting a post on the S-Chassis Facebook page that one of their admins was visiting family in Leeds and had some limited edition stickers Jake was quick to claim them! Carey, (the S-Chassis admin) from New Zealand, told us he was suffering from withdrawal symptoms from the lack of decent Japanese cars in the UK… so we set out to change that.A plan was hatched to meet up with us and have a look round some nice UK spec 200sx’s. After some back and forth between Jake and myself, we decided to not just meet up with him but to organise a meet in his honour!Sorting a time and place at such short notice wasn’t easy, but we settled on Monday evening at the biggest car park close to Leeds we could find: Showcase Cinemas in Birstall, Leeds. So the location was sorted, just the task of rounding up some decent Japanese metal! Which thanks to the wonders of modern technology was only a few texts and a Facebook event away! With the SXOC regulars up for it we enlisted the help of local club Team440 who host regular events in the area, and soon had a decent amount of interestWe weren”t expecting many to turn up with the short notice and it being a ‘school’ night so when we arrived at 7.30 and there were already cars there, we were more than surprised! The location turned out to be a great, quiet little area (apart from a few Vauxhall drivers…) and might be a possible future area for meets. Massive thanks to everyone that attendedBig shout out to Jake Dent & SXOC, Gary Sung & Team440, Carey Simpson & S-Chassis and Martin Day PhotographySee you next time…..By Liam Rhodes
So with less than a month to go to the biggest event on the SXOC calendar I thought I”d put together a highlight reel of what happens at this great event !!!
Track Day Sunday
This year we are at the fabulous Snetterton racetrack in Norfolk with a combination of an open pit track day on the 200 circuit layout and an all day drift event on the 100 circuit. So whether you are into a bit of sideways action or going flat out through the casino online world famous “Bombhole” corner, there is something for everyone on track.
But that”s not all folks!!!
The track day is just part of the fun. With camping on site from Saturday to Monday there will be plenty of other highlights to keep you occupied. Saturday usually is the “quiet” night with some sociably acceptable music levels, a BBQ and a few beers to get everyone settled in and pitched up!
Sunday evening sees another feeding session and plenty of games and banter. There will be some team events usually based around the different sections of the forum and you can be guaranteed that hilarity will ensue!!!
As ever there will be a charity raffle with awesome prizes from both the club and it”s traders, and some spot “prizes” for some
Then we are into Sunday night- Party Time!!!!
With a full audio setup and not one but 2 experienced DJ”s on hand the party gets going. Enjoy and relax with a few beers, a few shots and the odd cocktail and dance the night away
So basically there”s cars, track time, drifting, a few beers, some decent music, good food, good people and epic memories!! All for £125 quid.
