    Big brakes (big image)

Righto, here is the drawing to space out the calipers for BMW E36 M3 315mm front discs....

basically this bolts onto the hub and then you have to make some additional spacers to correct the caliper offset, you will need to find some 25mm steel bar and cut 4 16mm sections and then drill 12mm holes through the centres.

The discs you need are E36 M3 3.0 NOT the EVO 3.2, you will need to weld up the grub screw hole and one bolt hole, and then get it ground flat, then the PCD of 114.3 x 4 can be drilled into them, the holes should be 12.5mm.

All the bolts used should be high tensile M12x1.25 and can be ordered from http://www.namrick.co.uk

I will update the thread if needed (because I have probably forgot something )

for the benefit of lazy assed mugwamps, what length are the bolts?

Also, will this work on the S14 & Zed?

What are the 16mm long bits of 25mm bar for? Presumably, being 4, they are for the studs somehow?

they bring the caliper back in line to the original offset to account for the thickness of the adaptor and to correct for the offset of the new discs.

Depends on how many holes you have to weld up, the caliper offset is the same so I don't see why not.

I'll measure the bolts tommorow, coz I've forgot how long they were.

It should work for the S14, basically you would be drilling in between all the other holes wouldn't you? Still have to weld up the grub screw thingy though?

Paul, do you know if there is any issue with using M12 x 1.75 HT bolts on a braking system, reason I ask is that it's a std size and therefore easier to get hold of taps, bolts blah-de-blah.

Can you think of anyone that could (and actually would) give me definative answer?

Right, I have tidied up this thread (hope you don't mind), and will continue to do so if you lot talk drivvel.

The link I posted to the company called Namrick sell all the taps/dies for the job, its best to use a fine thread, fine pitch threads are stronger.

Pauls not selling the kits AFAIK which is why hes posted all the info on this thread, so you can go and make your own kit for the same money as it cost him.

Pauls not making the kits but Iam getting 10 sets done at the moment (maybe more if there's a lot of interest) 4 sets have definately gone already with 2 possibles so there are at least 4 remaining if anybody is interested.

At the moment the price looks about £25 delivered which will be confirmed in the next few days and they should be available the following week.

everything except the discs, calipers and brake hoses will be included
