No Japfest 2 for the 200 then :(

    Turbo oil feed.....

I guess that's why it was leaking, and instead of checking why it was leaking I opted to keep on tightening.

99.9999999% sure I checked sealing faces and washers before fitting and that I didn't hit it today whilst trying to undo the broken banjo bolt. Doubt a washer could have caused it whilst I was overtightening? Doesn't sound possible.

Anyway, what's done is done, need it sorted - any ideas on how much it would cost? Waiting to hear back from a friend but until then if anyone has had experience with similar sh!t, a rough price would be nice.

Can't be arsed to have a go myself, can't even be bothered to refit the turbo/mani myself either.

Edit - I keep looking at it and it looks as though I've hit it? I can't see how the hell I would have done that. I did try tapping the bolt with a long screwdriver but I didn't slip and obviously wasn't hitting it hard enough to slip. Guess it doesn't matter now though.

Let's pray it doesn't rain else I will have to try to sell the slots on the day because it has the crappest tyres known to man.

It's more under braking I am worried about. I just did a weather check and rain is predicted - are there people wanting/waiting for track slots? If so, I might just put them up for sale, if they sell they sell, if not I will just use them.

Oh crap, forgot about that. Well I only have the show entrance tickets at the moment.

In that case I might as well just try and sell them on the day, take a gamble on the weather.

My plan was to sell the track time and not come to Japfest but i'll have to come to hand over the tickets so might as well see what the weather has in store.

can't you get a mole grip on the bolt, and bang a new one in?

    should only take a hour?

I've tried to but my grips are a bit too big and manly. Waiting to hear back from a friend who has a lot more tools than I do.

It's more the sealing face dent that I'm stressing about at the moment. Could something like that be done in situ? It's a c*nt of a place to reach so I hope the engine won't have to come out to access it.

I have no experience with anything like this.

So much for trying to be proactive, eh? Car was running fine but thought I would change the lines as a precaution. Still trying to work out how it happened, if I saw how I did it i'd quite happily hold my hands and say I f*cked up.... well I did f*ck up, I just don't know when or how.

    Thats manageable in situ

Its not easy but a little bit of fiddling and she would be mint.

Just make sure you block the port with something like blu tac to stop anything getting in the oil way.

Fantastic! I'm guessing it's been done before then?

Need to find someone who can come to the car because I cannot be arsed anymore and towing isn't really an option at the moment.

Yeah, overtightened things like this will result in it either seizing or just snapping.

The copper banjo will take out some of the slack so it wont have to be 100% perfect.

Just get rid of the burr and then remove the remainder of the bolt, then see what you are up against before going crazy with it
