    My s14a Project Thread

    I decided to document my progress on my s14a, although Ive already had it a year and it has been through alot already ....... Il do my best to show whats happened over the last year first anyway!

    @Admin, ive payed my fees for membership but they havent gone through yet so if the project could be left here until they've gone through and then moved to the appropriate section that would be great!

    First off, I bought the car exactly a year ago. Im the first registered Irish owner of the car but it was owned by a member of here from the UK so some might already recognise the car. Some piccies that are robbed from the old for sale thread

    As you can see, exterior wise it was pretty much standard which was the way I wanted it ..... The bonnet and passenger side wing were literally covered in scratches though but apart from that I was delighted with her. It also came with a full Nissan service history.

    Spec wise, it has only basic mods done to it;NGK grade 7 iridium plugs, Apex type 2 fmic, Walbro fuell pump, lowering springs, Greddy Profec A boost controller, 3" Full Apex stainless steel exhaust and decat, K&N filter, Bailey DV26, Full Tinted Glass, Blitz Turbo Timer, Boost Gauge, Alpine I-pod ready headunit plus the usual touring extras.

    Now everything remained all good for about six months or so but then the maddness started to happen ......... I decided that I wasnt happy with all those scratches so I went away and got the whole front end completely resprayed(no pics Im afraid).

    It was at this point where I seemed to have completely lost my mind! I decided to put a big Uras type IV bodykit on it, I dont know why but I did it! I got a decent enough deal on it but still thats no excuse for doing it- I genuinely dont even like bodykits, well on my own cars anyway. Got some new headlights too which I quite like ...... Some more pics

    ^^^^^ Note the lack of any rimmage in the above pics too and understand that the car was barely driven in this state!

    Literally just two weeks ago, I decided enough was enough and that Im putting her back to the way I always loved it and wanted it to be. So this happened;

    Im quite impulsive as you can see

    It was probably a good thing that I took everything off as Im after discovering a potential minefield of ......... RUST!!!! Its starting to creep into alot of places so Im glad I found it when I did.

    The front seems to be the worst(slam panel and bumper supports are almost non existent at this stage) but I havent got a chance to jack her up and check undeneath yet. So the current plan is to de-rustify it completely before the summer at which stage she will be getting a full respray in its original colour!

    Some nice new parts;

    Oh yeah, forgot to add that before my de-rustification plans, the main goal was to put an RB26 into her but that obviously has now taken a back seat due to my severe impulsiveness!

    Merely stating that former glory refers to what she was at her best in the past (plus your title says with added JDM Yo-ness, that inspiration has none though) tis all

    [/pedantic]

    Looks good at the moment btw

    The above car looks pretty good to me, stock S body in peak condition with agressive stance/offsets/flare. Exactly what Im going for but with some JDM touches .......

    Thanks man

    Just a quick update on the project, I hope to collect my genuine Nissan Kouki spats this week too ....... Cant wait!
