EVO or RS4 or SUBARU????
Guys im looking for a new car and maybe you can shed some light and advice on these cars, i have got a couple to go and look at and test drive but its pin pointing which car i want
as title says i can either have an evo 8 MR FQ320 running circa 400hp with same torque but being a evo it should handle like the bizz http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/740512.htm i can either buy a subaru wrx sti running circa 420bhp .... and have the same kind of handling as the evo but i havent driven an evo so dont know how they handle so cant really compare http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/748312.htm OR i could have an RS4 b5 - fast , discrete and luxurious running circa 450bhp but it would probably be smooth power comapred to the aggressive power of the above....i could be wrong tho similar to this one http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/727489.htm I want a fast car thats responsive and a car that handles well.... can anyone shed some advice on my choices?.....anyone have an experience with these cars? |

Tough choice!
I think the Evo would be the best overall! |

I'd buy an RS4, but it's a totally different animal to the other two though, an odd one out of the three.

I did consider the m5 and m3 but i would rather have 4wd now....have had a few rwd and tbh when it comes to street use its good in the straights....not so good round the bends and twistys....
the rs4 is a mean beast but it also weighs nearly 2 tons where as the evo mr fq is a pocket rocket...... i have kind of singled the subaru out but cant decide between the rs4 and evo has anyone in there 200sx given an rs4 b5 a run for there money |

I would take the Subaru over the Evo any day
![]() Would be a tough choice between the Subaru & the RS4 if it were me.

I personally recon that if you benchmarked them all back to back, you would be disppointed with the way the rs4 feels over the others, i suspect its not as focussed as the evo. But then the scooby aint either.
I would have neither, either a 350z or used m5 would be my deal.

such a difficult choice....i have a dyno graph for the rs4 b5 if someone could pm me their email add i could send it to you to upload on here, power figure look good....
exactly....the evo and subaru are more aggressive when the turbo kicks in compared to the audi, but then again the rs4 is not slow... im going to all three this week |

I would go for the rs4, been out in a few at work and they are awesome, they pull very well and very smoothly plus you wont get pulled over every 10 mins.

Taking nothing away from the RS4, I ust think its because i've yet to grow up and still like spoilers and kits; all tastefully done of course.
