Looks a great project.. Thats gonna be a bit of a monster...
![]() I do wonder tho if there are quite a few drug dealers, pimps, human traffikers, bank robbers on these forums.. I struggle to get a bit of cash together to get a bit of paintwork done never mind all that sort of work...

Yep, completely agree. Great project, wish i could do it to my car. I work a full time job and spend every penny i earn on my car and i still couldnt comprehend how much a full refurb/rebuild to this extent could cost

Okay!
Updates are coming thick and fast at the moment – Engine and gearbox have been fitted into the chassis, cross member/cradle have all been fabricated, so this is how it stands as of today! As you can see, it’s been mounted as far back and as low as possible. The engine is also shorter than the likes of an RB or JZ engine and weighs a lot less – so it shouldn’t feel too front end heavy. I don’t know about you guys, but now the engine is in I get the feeling that this car is going to be very mean. It just looks almost evil sitting there. Weird. Cross Member Fabricated to take engine + more power ![]() ![]() Engine Mounted in Chassis (underside view) ![]() ![]() Gearbox ![]() Steering Rack Position ![]() ![]() Engine IN! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Good fit, still loads of space around it ![]() Mean Shot ![]() ![]() Im a bit pleased… |

Whoever is doing that welding is an artist, that has to be some of the best I have ever seen.
![]() Shame your using it for gay drifting though, why don't you just give it to me and get yourself an old Sierra or whatever is cool this week. ![]()

Don't worry, this is car will be used for other things apart from just drifting. Yes it's a drift specific car, but with the spec that's it's being built do - im hoping to do some high speed trials too

Interesting question and not one i can easily answer to be honest. A number of reasons come to mind. Firstly that a couple of VH45DETT have been built in Australia and work very well and reliably. Im fairly experienced with turboed nissans (i have had a fair few now) and I know very little about super chargers at all. I also think bonnet bulges look gash.
I guess the real answer to your question is that i feel much more comfortable going the Twin Turbo route than super charger. Plus, the sound of two turbo's with two 1/4 pannel exiting exhausts (one each side) and two external waste gates linked to two screamer pipes (exiting just behind the wheel) on full chat with 4.5 litres of V8 engine behind it should sound a bit... well.... Nice.
