Nice job.
Sunshine? Dryness? Where did you find that?

I feel your pain!! It was bad enough on my car, let alone when your not trying to damage/scratch anything on your's! Well doneOriginally Posted by Petrol
wow your certainly a perfectionist and one with plenty of skills too where did you get the carbon spark plug cover?? I want it badly
Seriously.. this thread is absolutely brilliant, the, or one of the best threads on here! I have learn't so much here you wouldn't believe lol! Such a good read.
Good luck with the rest of the project! I will keep looking back to see the progress
Thanks,
Mark
I'm glad I wasn't there. I'd have been shitting it having a part in that.
Glad it went in Pete & thanks for the engine stand.
looks awsome !!
did liked the towels to protect things up... lol
Fantastic mate, absolutely fantsatic!
Excellent work there! looks brilliant back in
You only need two tools in life - wd-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the wd-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.
And if you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem!
That is spot on mate You must be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel now
1998 Nissan 200sx s14a , 2000 std 5 speed with nismo supercoppermix clutch bn6 Sapphire Blue
30 PSI – Mr. Blue skies in the North West today, I took full advantage
Scougar – It wasn’t easy to say the least. It went in OK but locating the engine mounts was not easy. Best bit of advice I can offer is to loosen the engine mounts in the front subframe. It’s easier when you can move them.
Kingj – Colwell made the CF spark plug cover– Mucho respect
Mark D – Welcome to SXOC I have had a lot of help from SXOC members and feel that this project thread, is a way putting something back into it. Glad you have got some tips
SNURDF – I didn’t give you the bar for the engine stand to rotate the engine. If you need it, it’s here. A breaker bar will probably do the same job though. Very nice S13 you have mate
Chriscooke – Should be pretty easy to finish it now. All the difficult tasks are done

wooohooo! Its finally in the car! Fantastic work team OAP
No worries Pete, I can use my jacking bar. One thing though, turns out thr s13 must have smaller bellhousing bolts than the s14 so I'll have to get some bolts. No worries though, I'm not in any rush.
When I was up the other night you mentioned to use hi tensile ones, is that a must Pete?
Purplepower had a normal bolt snap, though it did have a 6 pot engine on it. Personally I wouldn't risk it.
Got most of the loom back in and fitted a few parts today
Air con and radiators back in
It's work like this that consumes vast amounts of time. I had to clean up this foam seal for the radiator. Used double sided tape to stick it back on

I think I'll grab some new bolts from work on Monday. Coming together now mate. It's gonna look like brand new but newer Keep going Pete.
I cant believe that you nearly at the end of the project, I have been following this since the beginning & its such a quality thread (who needs a haynes manual).
Pete you have such eye for detail (OCD perhaps LOL) even down to the heatshields on the outlets most people would never bother with this.
I had a an XR2i that i showed in concourse a couple of time so i know how time consuming cleaning can be but not on the scale that you have done.
So dont you dare ruin it when it gets back on the rd, not that you would after all this.
Foz
When I do get round to using it, I will have my defensive driving hat on and keep my wits about me I would be gutted if someone ran in it, especially as the car has never been bumped. I think it's fair to say that driving standards have deteriorated in the last few years. There's certainly a severe lack of courtesy and politeness on the roads.
I still have quite a bit to do if the truth be known. Took the radiator back out as I wasn’t happy with the plastic clips that hold the air guide on
Uses stainless cap screws instead
Got loads done today

Superb work mate, coming together nicely. You must be mad tho.. is it not cold in Lancashire?
Great work - this has inspired me to do mine. My car is now looking rather sorry for itself, the bumper and the rear lights have been removed and the body work rubbed down and treated with Deox Gel. Once that part is sprayed up the next step is the rear arches and the rest of the underneath. I'm hoping to take no more than 3 months but we'll see
