please help ...
hey guys,
finally got pretty much all the parts for my det swap on my 97 180sx sr20de. one slight problem though.. looks like my wiring harness is not plugging into my power fc. the pfc is for a s14 and the harness looks like its off a s14a (ecu plug on harness is smaller than the pfc) not to sure what to do. can i use a s14 harness with s14a injectors, coil packs etc.. other option would be to swap my powerfc with someone who has a s14a one ![]() will i have to deal with the dreaded nats2 setup (hope not) ?? what will be different now if i go down the s14a road anyway lads any help is welcome . Mr. Bennett where are ya cheers

Here's diagrams of the two connectors. The bank of pins above 100 are the larger ones.
As Papa asks, what car did you get your SR20 and harness out of? If you've got an S14 PowerFC, then you can get an S14 harness and it should fit the S14a Sr20 engine fine. Perhaps exchange it for an S14a one instead, though? NATS is not an issue with the PowerFC in any way

Mate, if you're going to keep the PFC, use the entire S14 main engine harness, not just the ECU plug
. It should plug straight onto your engine (all the sensors have the same plugs). Will save masses of re-wiring Besides, if you fancied a many evenings, 60+ wire solder-athon by getting an S14 ECU plug, you might as well butcher an S13 harness as its actually the same plug, but more readily available . In fact, your SR20DE plug, is that not the same as your PFC, too?

Good call, check if the ECU you've already got has the same plug
![]() Rather than cut and solder it would probably be easier to just take the pins out of the plug and swap the wires over... But John likes doing things the hard way it seems...
