Nismo Quickshift Fitting!
Evening All,
Can anyone help me? I've bought a Nismo quickshift kit for an S14 of Ebay but it has no instructions... Will it be easy to see what goes where when I pull up the gaiter etc? Or will I muck it up and the gear lever come away when I change gear? Please advise Cheers

I wrote a guide for one of Bren's shifters. I'm not sure which style it is but have a look for posts by me and you'll find it.

Nismo don't make a quick shift for ref. (they do a solid shifter that looks the same as std but uses harder rubber)
Normaly you also need to get under the car to do these. C.

How bizarre...
Has Nismo engraved on it (proper logo too, not a botch job)! Whaddya reckon, tear it all out and see what happens?

Yah, Nismo innit! Wikkid, that a liner?
Probably a knock off, especially as it's from ebay. How wrong can you make a short shifter though?

Was tempted but it's only a minimal decrease in throw. http://www.nengun.com/catalogue/product/696

People in the past have had problems fitting these "Nismo" shifters
You're best off buying a proper B&M or similar from Apex (they also do their own short shifter that is cheaper and decent quality) or one of the other reputable traders on the forum |

As it shows on there they don't list a quick shifter for the S14. C.

Nismo make a 'Solid Shift'.
Id like one of these. And will be selling my B&M knockoff whatever. Short shifts are no good for drifting. |

Normally they translate it to "solid" shift rather than "slit"!
Looking at that picture on Ebay I can't see it fitting - looks like its for another gear box. |
