ogura = os giken ?

i've heard that ogura is the japanese version of osgiken. can anyone confirm this ?

also i've got an ogura single plate clutch and flywheel application and as u can see from the picture below the release bearing that died the other day has completely destroyed the fingers on the pressure plate.

does anyone know if i can use an os giken part to repair it, that is if os and ogura are same company or if not anyone know where i can get just the pressure plate part by itself

OS Giken and Ogura are two entirely seperate companies, both Japanese.

The clutch release bearing will be a Nissan OEM part. Check out the Ogura site or the clutch paperwork if you bought it new for the Nissan part number. The pressure plate part number will be ORC specific and should be listed on the Ogura site.

I think he'll want a new clutch cover looking at that pic

www.nengun.com offer ORC bits at good prices, but personally I'd use Greenline.jp

I thought that both clutches are made in the same factory.

by the clutch cover do you mean the large gold part or the central part with the fingers on it ?

was hoping i could get away with just replacing the central section with the fingers on it since it is bolt on

Don't think you can just buy that bit on its own. Perhaps you can though. Heres the relevant catalog http://www.oguraclutch.co.jp/orc/pdf...cat_1plate.pdf

EDIT - think the first line is "clutch cover" so its going to cost 37,800 yen

There may be someone on here who can translate what each of the parts is. Could save you an expensive phone call..

Could try CorrollaRWD on Driftworks as he owns Final-Stage.com and can get ORC stuff easily. He's on here, too, but under a different (one I can't remember right now) username.

My OS Giken twin plate looked exactly the same as the ORC clutch ive just bought for the 180

I also thought they where made in the same factory, or at least by looking at them, they use the same patterns....

First field is clutch cover, second one is pressure plate. Disc (w/damper), disc (wo/damper), flywheel assy (which i presume is assembly), then overhaul kit (w and wo damper)

hope that helps
