S15 Decat

Couldn't find anyone who had an S15 decat, so spoke to Creasey about it. He leant me an S14 decat to see if it fit. It didn't.

So, measured between the flanges and Creasey sent me a length of SS pipe and two loose SS flanges. Fitted it and marked the flanges and pipe for alignment and passed it back to him. He welded it all up and I got it back today.

He's also borrowing my cat so that he can get it properly jigged for a proper design and part.

Nice one Creasey! Top service.

You'll need to PM him. I got mine for a good price for helping with development.

RC Developments also do their own decat for the S15. Thats where I got mine from. Cant remember from memory how much I paid. Not much I dont think.

Just make sure its not got mild steel flanges. They rust like feck and sort of defeats the point of having a stainless pipe.

If I'd known beforehand, I'd have probably gone for the R34 one.

He told me he needed the length of the pipe, which hinted that he had to get one made specially. Wasn't paying £60 for something I didn't know would fit.

Well mine was less than half that, so I don't mind the extra hassel . I believe the normal price is much better than that too.

Cheers for the write up Nicely Always interested in expanding the range, mostly for my own sense of satisfaction

For the sake of simplicity I'm gonna charge £50 for all decats bought individually, be they s13/14/15. Means I can continue to use the best materials

Possibly. I'm sorting out a better method of getting things sent at the moment (i.e. easier and cheaper hopefully than wandering down the post office!).
