KYB AGX's with H&R lowering springs, James.

If you can come to the Cheltenham meet next week, then I'll take you out for a spin so you can see what it feels like.

cHiL has AST coilovers on his and ad999 has Eibach (I think) springs on standard shocks (again, I think).

Ive heard that coilovers spoil the ride of the car, but i presume thats because they arent set up properly? I was just wondering cos ive just bought a set of 18s an wanna lower it. Springs or coilovers u rek?

Coilovers, so you can set the height exactly as you want.

The AGX's will go as soft as the standard shocks mate - it must be your springs making the ride too hard for you. I find it strange that the ride is hard enough to give you neck pains, mind.

What have you got on it now?

Tom,
I have kyb agx rears and kyb black fronts, on Tien lowering springs ... I have just found out today that a bush is knakered on the left rear .... so maybe thats the problem ... or maybe i'm just too old ... or maybe, the ride was soooo good and inspired confidence i want to go back to it ....
I don't know but i'm fed up and probably will put the car and the mods up for sale .... who knows
James

Those springs are meant for standard shocks. Thats why I bought 'em and they were fine on my standard shocks. Thats why they're only 3.3/3.1 kg spring rates. I'm sure I said this before.

Most springs are tested against standard shocks.
They ARE NOT fine against the standard shocks i had, the ride was soo bad, i didn't use the car for days.
The continual taking off and putting on of this fecking suspension has seriously p1$$ed me off and cost me money.
These springs have gone against standard shocks, uprated KYB,s and now AGX's, and they do not suit me. If i wasn't eloquent enough, instead of giving a reasoned answer as above I might say they were sh1te, and not support that view.
Furthermore, i can't wait to go back to standard suspension
BUT as ever its a matter of opinion. okay.

woa! ok, erm.. if it were me then I would have bought new standard shocks (or equivalent) Shocks on factory cars are only guaranteed for 35000 miles. My standard shocks were fcuked at 29,000 miles cos they're shite and not even gas filled.. Just trying to help mate.. Hope you get it sorted

Its okay, i'm very p1$$ed off ....
There's no need to sort it as the car's going, the suspension business has been the final straw ........
I can't wait to get into another car, the calling of a nice new WRX STi is too strong to give up .......
