Rx-7 Fc
Just wondering if anyone here has any information about them?
Need to know :
How often the engines need re-building
Average MPG
Good insurance
Any other quirks?
This is all for a stock 1990 RX7 FC
I have a plan

Could be wrong, but I think the N/A one has an mpg in the low 20's whereas the Turbo II is far worse.
Rebuilds are around the 80k mark I think too.
0-60 is around 8 seconds for the N/A and 6.7 for the Turbo II.
According to Classic Car magazine the 1200cc 1st gen RX-7 is the better car to drive (although it's considerably slower, but almost bomb-proof reliability)
Sure an actual RX-7 owner will come along soon .

The rotary engines on the FC are meant to be annoying to maintain, the MPG isn't so great as rotary engines don't get too much to the gallon.
However.
The rotary engine allows the front to be pretty light, meaning the front end isn't weighed down which makes for brilliant handling. FC's are one of the great drift cars.
I also heard some odd thing that you have to pay the road tax as if they were a light truck?? I don't think that's true though.
