    Talking OMG Respect the T25!

I've just been on Gary's rollers today to get it tuned so I didnt total it on this sundays RR day. After a worrying wait (my legs were shaking) and much noise Garry wanders over.

    "How much were you expecting?"

Oh crap I though its munched its self.

But on reading the print out it manged 248 BHP! still using the original T25 that'll be 10 years old! and as a bonus it dosnt seem to have munched its self. I was for the next hour or 2. I was expecting 220 or 230 at the most.... Guess well see how it compares to every one else tomorrow

Only problem seeem the fueling on idle/cruse when it goes closed loop as its heavly overfuel in (12% CO IIRC) which will be the ECU, chip or lamba sensor. My money its on the Lamba as it passed it MOT with the chip and ECU its running ATM.

I post a scan when I can, Im at me mums ATM

Still to the 10 year old T25 I just wander how long it will last....

I was so worried that mine wernt going to hold up either or sumit elce was going to go bang
Im think your bigends being on the way out would have reduced power a bit?

Sure the figues quoted on the print out are: -

    Engine power : 247.9 @ 5539 rmp
    Wheel power : 222
    Power losses : 25.9
Engine Power corrected : 243.2 ... err is this the correct one to read? or is this corrected agiant the temp / air pressure?
    Pressure / temp : 1027 mBar / 17c

Yep. I got 224.5 bhp (172 wbhp) at the welsh RR day. T25 @ 11 psi (didn't dare try high boost setting @15psi), ND WMIC, Custom exhaust and a power "curve" that was a straight line up to the rev limit.

Thats a top result, it revs to 8k!!! Our RR place just takes it to a bit over 6k IIRC, 7.2k's the standard rev limit isn't it?

    Dunc.

Dunc star take the revs up to when the at the wheel figure, Plotted in real time, starts going down again (or just after that point) So some cars who's power maximum has been moved above the rev limit will be bounced off the limiter by star...

Seen this on a Sierra Cosworth 4x4 that got well over 300 bhp and was still going up when it bounced off the limiter.

Do'h its was 7 on the screen. I could see from out side on the saturday but when we were alowed in on the sunday I could see it said 7

Still Gary took it up to the rev limiter on serveral ocations whihc is errr what ever it is on a Jez Stage 1 chip... I think its 7.2

T25 was hangging on or grim death at that point.

    16psi on a t25?

I accidently ran 17psi once and it felt like a fookin train through the low to mid range!

It was a shame to turn it back down to 14.

Anything over 7200rpm will be doing damage to a standard bottom end, especially if it's under load at those revs
My Jez stage one has hit over 8000rpm a couple of times, always due to me getting the gear lever stuck and not being able to back off the throttle quick enough, I rarely go past 6000rpm under load and never over 6500rpm under load.
    What torque Yak?
What did Gary set your timing to?
I'm hoping for 250bhp on standard turbo and my "special fuel" once I get the intercooler in
Don't know if the Stage 1 chip actually has a rev limit, I forgot to ask him when he installed it
I generally avoid ultra-high revs as a matter of course.

248bhp is good but it's only the figure at the wheels that matters

It was 222 at the wheels

I think the TORQUE was 238 I check latter, havnt got the graph with me...

I acidently set mine at 18+ psi when I first put the control valve on! It didnt like it so turned it down to 15ish. Gary uped it a little to 16 which must be the absolute limit on it before it just super heats the air.

It or what ever elce gary fiddled with made the curve smother too
