Nismo 555 Identification

Just wondering if there is any way to tell from looking at an injector, or going off the numbers stamped on there, if it's a genuine Nismo 555cc one or not?

They should be yellow for a start. Not sure about the numbers though. IIRC alot of the larger injectors are all made by the same company. Are you worried that you have the wrong size, or if they are actually Nismo?

Magic, that's just what I needed...

Numbers in that thread match up with the ones I just got, was wanting to check they were definately 555cc Nismo's as I know you can't just go by the colour

you have put a doubt in my mind over my nismo 555's now. The number on mine is A46-F32.

Are these nismo 555s? They came in a Nismo box, the top of the injector is purple instead of yellow.

I thought the std 370cc injectors were purple, 550cc are yellow, and 740cc are red

Just had a quick search and came up with this....

http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.p...ghlight=purple

It appears purple Nismo injectors are for the GTIR SR20 and are 600cc not 550cc

Do they look like the ones in the picture above? IIUC the GTIR has top feed injectors like the CA18. The S14 has side feed as shown above

Link to Nengun....

http://www.nengun.com/engine/nismo/h...mance-injector

Shows both the Nismo 480cc and the 600cc as being Purple. Both are not compatible with the S14

S14/S14a injectors:
standard 370cc are purple
Nismo 555s are Yellow
Nismo 740 are red
They'll all look the same shape as the pic above (which are nismo 555s)

GTiR / S13 injectors are top feed, look different to the ones above and are different colours.

Yep sounds like someones bought some Nismo's and put their standard injectors in the Nismo boxes and flogged them on W***ers

Here is a photo of some standard S14 injectors with the reference A46-F32

You can see the tops without taking anything apart on the S14/S14a
