s14a auto to manual conversion/manual ecu/NATS immobiliser removal

Hi guys, had my s14a a while and its been off the road for various bits of work. It was an auto and was converted to a manual by the previous owner. It always ran a little rough and I wonder if that was the ecu being an auto running what is now a manual car. Looking to get an AEM fuel/ignition controller unless I can get a standalone ecu suggested to me to run the spec I am after. So I am wondering about swapping to a manual ecu, removing NATS and removing the immobiliser that is already in the car and replacing it with a Clifford or similar unit. What should I do if I fit a manual ecu into the car? Can I strip out the NATS system or will I need to get the keys recoded at a Nissan dealer? Many thanks, Matt

Can't help with anything there other than the auto ecu won't be causing bad running. Mine was an auto converted to manual and I had no issues keeping the auto ecu and I know plenty of others who have done the same and kept their auto ecus as well.

Cheers for that, clears one thing up. I am debating going down the route of running an Apexi power fc am I right in assuming it will plug straight in or are the manual and auto plugs different?

So a power fc should fit an auto loom? I assume it's an auto loom, judging by the state of the conversion lol.

It should do as mine has an auto loom.
When I said plug and play, I should probably be more specific in that I gave APT my car and they fitted the power fc for me along with other bits and pieces, so for me it was more a case of plugging my card in to their machine and paying (so technically plug and pay).

Ah ok nice one. I think power fc it is. Did you get it from APT or just get them to fit it?

I bought it privately and got them to fit it and some other bits and map it at the same time.
