    Car trailer

Can anyone see a problem with this trailer? Ive never owned one before so want to know if this would be suitable or of any potential issues with this type of trailer? I doubt it will have anything on it other than my kit car.

It's on eBay, it's a car trailer, it's probably stolen

    It looks homemade to me.

I don't think I've ever seen a twin-axle with the wheels so far apart.

He also says it needs an MOT and registering with the DVLA

I thought trailers didn't have to be registered or MOTed but I did think they had to have a weight limit specified.

Could it be that trailers have to have a type approval like cars now and this one, being homemade, doesn't have type approval ?

Personally, I dodge it and buy something proper.

Almost looks like a caravan chassis. It only needs paperwork to suss out weight limits and if it's solid. only issue would be if you get pulled in by vosa in the mean time.

Doesn't look like it has brakes and the pictures hide the coupling so I'd probably avoid it to tbh. An unbraked trailer is only good for up to 750kg including the trailer iirc which is useless for a car trailer.

Looks more like it, doesn't look very big and may need better ramps.

Bed size is 13'. A Lotus 7 is around 10' long ??? Width might be an issue as the bed size is 5'7"
