At the pub by the river and they were everywhere, along with wasps.
I think it was more because the staff didn't clear a single table for a couple of hours.

Mate had them on his kitchen window sill week last Sat. Hovered them up!
There will be some difference north to south but it appears I have missed it

The few I saw at lunchtime must have been the ending instead of the beginning.
London had them, theyll start coming out in different areas depending on weather! Theyre basically flying round and mating while the weather is nice and clear!

Hate the littel buggers, brings back an experience i had in the 60s went round to see the girl friend one summers day (yes wee had good summers back then)on my scooter
just wearing pair shorts, on the way back home ran into a swarm of them covered from head/toe, lucky for me i saw someone watering there garden droped the scooter asked
him to hose me down still run for cover when i see them .
