Looking into lsds got a few questions

I'm looking to get rid of my viscous diff and swap to a clutch diff I'm thinking a kazz unit from driftworks I've never been in a car with a proper diff so here come the questions

I think I want the 1.5 way as it's mostly road/track with an occasional drift day sound correct ?
Are they noisy after the break in procedure
Is the Q coating worth it and does it last
How long do the plates last before rebuilding
How often does the oil need changing out

I know the last two are dependant on type of abuse but for general daily driving

    Thanks guys

I've got a nismo pro and a kazz and id go for the nismo over the kazz all day long, the kazz diffs are quiet noisy in comparison

So would the s14 one fit the 14a with abs ?

Seems a very complete kit with the output shafts and everything for not huge money

Nismo is streets better, Id have one on a roadcar but Im not sure I would with the Kaaz.

    To answer your Q's:

1.5 way is probably better for road use
The Kaaz is, the Nismo isnt
Dont know what a Q coating is?
Plates will last longer than you keep it, oil is up to you but Id say 5K

Never ordered from Japan before so will have to look into it

If you're at the Weekender then you can jump in for a P-ride in mine if you like - I'm running a 2 way Cusco which is frankly terrible on the road but by far the best track mod I've made to the car.
(That said I've been thinking about selling it for something like a Nismo for a while now just so I can enjoy driving in public again )

I'm sure there'll be at least one person there with a Nismo diff as well (Which I'll want to steal a ride in too, and posibly have a trundle around the campsite in to try, just in case anyone is reading this )

i vaguely remember the splines on the output shafts being different between s14 and s14a. one has something like 39 the other 41 or something like that.

I think the Nismo comes with the output shafts so hopefully that won't matter but don't really know

You've got it easy - I've got a 180 with an unknown combination of S13/14 & 180 bits in the Diff.
I honestly don't know what I'd need if I wanted to order one
