What size fuse on the starter motor?

I've got a AE86 with a CA18DET swap, i've moved the battery into the boot. When I've run the new battery cable i've put a 80 amp fuse near the battery. I'm using an AGU style holder and they only go to 80 amps. The biggest draw on the battery is the starter motor. Is an 80 amp fuse enough (only running a little battery to save weight)? I've blown a few fuses but my starter motor is iffy, it turns slow, sometimes get's stuck and I need to give it a hit to free it up. When it gets stuck it'll do a fuse as it's drawing too much power. I want to know what Nissan use.

    80 amps is pathetic.

Get a much larger circuit breaker to do the job, and at the same time get a new starter motor.

They don't. Main solenoid terminal to battery is direct.

Solenoid is wired on a green breaker. 30A?

I just got 1 of these chaps for protection when I moved my battery to the boot, and so far it's doing it's job fine - Great price from these guys too.

    I use a megafuse ( http://stanley-r-harris.co.uk/mega-fuse-holder-2212? ) immediately after the battery, with a 175A fuse in.
Where ever you go, never take an idiot with you. You can be sure you'll find one when you get there.
