Rich, need your advice. In the photo everything is covered in Electrox and I want to weld a plate into the hole. Should I remove the Electrox around the edges and spray with Etchweld or will a weld take through the Electrox?
You defo need to clean the electrox off, you can't weld through it. Just clean off enough around the edges where you need to weld and spray them bits with the etch weld.Originally Posted by cleanhands

Yes mate, it's completely stripped with only the rear subframe and wheels left. Got a few heads and diffs in the back end so I could lift the front with one hand and push the bin under it. Need to remove n/s chassis rail.
Swifty, can't argue with that. Bet I'll have a running car first.
