    vvt question

I have a 206gti that i am replacing the cylinder head on and i have a vvt head to use as a replacement however the head i removed was non vvt!

Can i fit the vvt head and not use the vvt?

    Thanks in advance.

    From memory....

The mechanical parts will sort of match up BUT its not going to be a straight fit

Im guessing you have a GTi 138 and you have bought a GTi 180 head ?

The inlet on a 138 is plastic and on a 180 is ali

    The injectors are different also

The cam sensors work differently and this could be the biggest issue.

In short is not viable unless you are willing to spend a fair whack of time getting it working. I would recommend going over to Pug sport club for advice, if it has been done then someone on there will know.
