Cheers bud, you've seen it and know it's not as clean in the flesh though.

The inside of the lip flaked a little but the outside was fine, heat is your friend here obviously if you have any rust bubbles etc in your paint that'll play a part.

I've seen far more extreme stretch so I'm not particularly worried

Are these Eagle f1s?? Currently trying to decide on what tyres to get all round for the equips... Didn't want to spend too much on the tyres as I'll be running a bit of camber to get the wheels to fit - don't really wanna be replacing expensive tyres every 4 months lol

How much camber are you going to run? I'd want grippy tyres aground tbh but then I'm a wimp.

Probably between -2° & -3° mate but I don't want too much. Just a noticeable amount without shredding tyres unevenly

Anything up to 3° is fine. I've got well over 4° on the front of my S13 and there is maybe 0.4mm additional wear on the inside edge compared to the rears (which have 1.5°).

-edit- that's in some 4000 miles or so driving mostly enthusiastically.

Welcome to having a performance car and having wide wheels

If you didnt want to spend loads on tyres then you should have got 7.5s all round

I ran 265s back and 225 front on 9.5s all round. You have a 50mm difference in wheel width so should be looking at a similar difference in tyre width for a similar look back and front. (e.g 225 front/275 rear)

Thanks Mark, I have to admit I did not know what to expect when I decided to go for the equips. . I have thought about it and tbh I would rather pay out and have good rubber that will grip and also a sidewall with mimimal flex but still look a little stretched..

My old wheels (Asuka's ) they are 7.5j look like slimfast compared to my equips

You dont need to buy F1s so look at Falken and Kumho etc. Just avoid the bargain basement like linglong, triangle, sunny etc.

F1 have amazing amount of grip. I managed 2.256s 60ft with stretched tyres. That was at an airport...

Thanks guys, I'm not getting wheels refurbed until after Christmas now so I have more time to save and I don't want to rush things.

I will get wheels done then choose rubber

Anyone had any experience with these? Not bad price and they are similar rubber specs to the eagle f1

These have 35 profile. Not going that low.

40 profile is the lowest for me I think.

Nexens are cheap as chips, anyone had previous experience with those?

Remember, the profile of a tyre is the percentage of the width.

    A 255/35 tyre has a profile of 89.25mm

This is basically the same as a 225/40, which has a profile of 90mm.

    (255/100) x 35 = 89.25
    (225/100) x 40 = 90.00
