Cleaning over spray from rubber seals

Over spray on my door seals is compromising the waterproofing of the Dai.

Can someone please recommend how to remove it without damaging the seal.

Have you tried AutoGlym rubber and vinyl cleaner ? I've been surprised at what it will shift. About 6 quid a bottle from Halfrauds.

Any pics of how bad it is and any idea how old it is ? It could be that white spirit followed by a wash with a strong detergent solution followed by the AG R&V cleaner is necessary.

Even if the AG doesn't shift it, you've still got a very useful product for cleaning car interiors

I didn't mean how bad was the leak, I meant how heavy is the overspray. Recent, fine (speckled) overspray on the rubber where it didn't get masked is one thing.
Poor masking that means that 5-6 layers of primer then colour and lacquer have been sprayed onto the rubber probably needs cutting along the edge between metal and seal with a sharp knife then the paint peeling carefully back off the rubber.

Why are you so sure the overspray is the problem ?

Its a thin film over portions that were not masked off. Been there since march and it did not leak before that

Id give it a go with the AG cleaner then but also check it over for splits as it could have got damaged when the work was done.

Its both sides and they started leaking then so 99% its the overspray but will definitely condition check them

    Thanks dude

paint shouldnt really stick to rubber that well so some elbow grease should shift it.
