any sprayers on here? pressure Q
spraying my kouki bumper and vented bonnet. i can spray single stage, primer and gloss but never done metallic(DN1) just wondering what the appropriate pressure for spraying would be. im using solvent type paint.
also would i be right in saying 50/50 mix of base to thinners and 2 parts clear to 1 part hardener?

for the mixing you will need to find the specific ratio for that product. some need 50/50 and ive used some that are 2-1. call the supplier of the paint they will let you know.
laquer usually is 2-1 but again ask the supplier, it may even say on the tin for the laquer.
for pressure i usually use around 2 bar (my gauge doesnt show psi), its one of those things that after a while you can tell just by listening if you have the right pressure. too much and you will be wasting paint and too little it will come out dry.

When we sprayed my car there were specific measures given by the manufacturer. Think this worked out to be about 60/40 but don't quote me on that.

With a 1.3 spray tip you should have about 3bar at your gun!

Sorry for hijacking this topic but my question is also spray-related.
When I mask with tape for example the windowrubbers, when do I have to remove the tape? Directly after spraying the laquer or after all has dried out?
I'm worried that when I pull off the tape I could damage the laquer on the body as it might become "one surface" where there is not much gap between the panels and the rubbers ...
