Luckily naths wheels are 10j and similar et ( I think 7/8 ) may give them a trial fit before I buy equips

IMO equips look the best... some meisters are nice and emotions too.. but the equips seem to me to be much more rare.. especially in big sizes 10j+ etc

Plus I just love the 5 spoke look in white

I'd get some XXR's or those other copies. Not sure why anyone would lay out more on wheels than they did on the car. Doesn't say Baller to me it says I want to impress people that like nice wheels. Non car folk wouldn't know the difference. All IMO of course.

Having stretched tyres and arch gap/ not tucking looks shit. If you're going to go to all the effort, lower the car to suit. If not, don't bother with the wide rims....

I Would get a set with et around 20 if You won't get overfenders. You can always space them out if needed..

The two sets I am looking at have et24 and then the 10.5js have et3 on the rear and et-3 on the front.

I looked online and the et 3 set will fit with less hassle.. won't knock / hit the coilovers either whereas et24 will be very close. Not keen on running spacers unless I have to

Well quite the opposite actually. 18x11 ET24 and 18x9 ET5 will fit with less hassle than 18x10.5 ET3 and 18x9 ET-3... And you can use proper tyres with the higher ET rims...
You won't have a problem with the rear coilover. Lower arm is the first thing that will touch the rim. I have 18x12 ET25 in the rear and it was so close that I used 3mm spacer to give it enough clearance. With 18x11 rim you have a lot more clearance to the lower arm than me.

Back to square one then lol I'm trying 10j et7 tomorrow hopefully.. if they fit well I'm sticking with the 10.5js

But the 11js surely would be the set closer to the lower arm as they are et24 ..? The et3 is barely closer than my current 7.5j wheels.. but of course it'll give me 70-something-mm extra poke.

Either way after checking it online the 10.5j et3 set look the best bet. Not sure why they're nearly £100 more than the 11j set though.
