    New guy from Cornwall...

    Just a quick hello....

I have recently purchased my first SX, an S15 Spec S... So, it is a spec S which means it's non turbo and pretty gutless to be quite honest but on the upside, the car already has a pretty good spec (breaking and handling wise), the body/underneath is super clean and rust free, and the best of all, I managed to purchase the car for a third of the price of a spec R... Bargain!

It's a great car to drive, handles superb, could do with a bit more power but that'll come in time (DET swap!). The only negative that I can point out is the hideous front bumper :/ which I will have to get changed very soon as its offending my eyes a little, and some green colour coding here and there which also is offending my eyes slightly, but i'll have that sorted in time...

    Spec is as follows,

Low mileage 1999 silvia s15 spec s in pewter grey.
    Rust free shell.
    Fully cleaned and waxoiled underneath.
    Carbon Dmax bonnet.
    Apex fully adjustable coilovers.
Willwood big brake kit up front.
    Skyline viscous LSD.
Work emotion CR Kai alloys (flat front/concave rear)
    Kool wheel nuts.
    Kakimoto stainless tubular manifold.
    Stainless downpipe.
    Decat.
Straight through system to jap style can.
Heafty strut brace (unsure on brand)
    Engine damper.
    Hks mushroom filter.
    Aftermarket air intake.
Looks as if a load of bushes have been uprated in the past.
    Standard interior, very clean.

There's probably a bit more to add but that'll give you a good idea of the spec.

So my plans for the car are to use it at weekends and just tinker with it really. I'm hoping to do an engine swap next year which should be fun. Oh, and also get that body kit and green stuff sorted!

Keep an eye out as I'm going to have a go at a project thread and update it as I modify the car etc.

Any comments, good or bad (I'll ignore the bad ones) will be apprecited.

I'll get some photos up as soon as I can work out how to do it!

    Cheers for reading guys

Welcome mate, keep an eye on the southwest section for meets etc although we need to sort more meets in Cornwall.

I know of the car you're talking about. From what I've seen on here and other forums it's been well looked after, glad to hear you're planning on sorting that front bumper though as its marmite at best

For pics just use photobucket and copy the img tags across

Yeah some more meets in the South West are definitely needed, I used to go to a couple of the Cornish JDM car club meets but they seem to be less frequent now. Well fingers crossed by the time I'm finished with the car she'll be looking a bit better. I just thought the car would make a good solid base for what could potentially be a pretty awesome project. Ok, I'll try the photo bucket thing and see if I can get some pictures up for people to have a look at Cheers.
