The weekender 2014- A big thanks from us

    Guys, it was superb

On behalf of the staff of the sxoc I would like to thank all who came along , pitched in and had a laugh.

These events are what the club is all about and it takes the people to make it.

Personally i would like to thank Snetterton for being great hosts, my fellow staff members for helping out with the organising and on the day activities, the members for pitching in ( loads of folk asking to help and get involved ) and everyone for being on their best behavior ( yes even me lol ).

We seem to have made a very good impression on Snetterton and I will be giving them some positive feedback too

Thank you to the traders who gave us some great prizes for the raffle which raised nearly £700 which is awesome.

Thank you to the suppliers who helped with t shirts and stickers ( Slideways Couture and Sticky Monkey )

And lastly a big thank you to my wife claire for all her help and support over the last few months and then over the weekend.

See you all and more in 2015

p.s. there will be a wee feedback/ survey thread up later in the week to try and make things better next year, please take 2 minutes to fill it out

    much love

Snett was a great venue, and the staff were super. Annoyed that my homing beacon came on quite early on Sunday night sending me to bed and missing a lot of the banter, including Thumper and Fireball! Still had a ball though

The track was superb from a viewing/photography point of view and looked like fun to drive, the 2 main incidents of the day were a shame but I guess thats always a risk and the main reason I dont fancy driving a new car on track

Packing the van in the rain is grim though

Massive thanks to everyone who helped put it together, especially Kieran and Claire and everyone involved in feeding us all weekend. Shout out to Team Ireland for making the trip across too, wouldn't be the same without them

Has to be the most fun I've had on a track day, everyone was well behaved and had some great moments chasing/being chased by Jamie in the Megane and the other 2 E46 M3s (sorry lads, not sure of your names on here) Not sure who had the black on black 14a, that thing was rapid!

Quality banter as always, I've just about lost my voice from Thumper and everything hurts everywhere from laughing/shouting/racing. Can't wait for next year

Massive thanks to Kieran & claire (get home OK?) and all the staff & people who helped organise. Fair play to Snetterton for accommodating track/drift and camping. I misjudged my vodka/coke premix bottle so my memory is a bit hazy but I do remember the game of thumper that got to the stage where we couldn't even remember the name of the game for the knee slapping bit

Track was good although I should have checked my pads better before heading off, had to bow out of any afternoon track time in order to get home. SXOC weekender track days once again proving to have the best track manners of any track day I've been on

Ace weekend all round, big thanks to Kieran for putting it together:-) Good times and good folk on and off the track.

Puma was cracking all-round, actually decently quiet and economical on the trip down and back, yet massively fun and chuck able on the track, though obviously not the quickest thing ever.

Throughly awesome weekend, well done to all those who put it together, was a real pleasure to watch from the other side of the fence this year

Loved Snetterton, 8 laps was a bit too much for me but I'll manage! In fairness I'd got my fix back in Feb so nursing the hangover took priority over the track time!

    Top work all round folks

Bex and I missed another epic weekend there. Oh well. Hopefully we'll be there next year!

We'll console ourselves by reading the epicness and looking at the pics!

Another fantastic weekend, got a bit carried away with the rum and woke up in an empty field about 2pm on Monday, my head still hurts, roll on next year and well done to all involved in the organising

Just spoke to someone who paid over £300 for camping alone at Spa this weekend for the F1. Said food was rubbish, place was soaking.

Told him we just had a weekend camping, food, music and unlimited track time for £125.

    Great job folks.

Who won what awards? Did Steves escort win best non-200? And if not, WHY?!?

Well done guys. Although I was only about for Sunday I still had a cracking time. Would have loved to have made a weekend of it but I had to spend Saturday getting the car ready and Monday was a family day.

It was refreshing to see how relaxed the Snett staff were. That was possibly a lot to do with how well behaved everyone was, especially on track. Outstanding guys. I didn't have any issues with anyone out there and that's exactly how it should be. regardless of who's in what and how quick some are to others, it's simple common sense and track etiquette. I had a lot of issues with noise at Bedford whereas Snett didn't even care that they hadn't noise tested my car

Next year I'm hoping we might get a few more 200's out. I'm not sure how we do that though!?! Hopefully Piman will have his fixed

Was a great weekend. Ended up out on track twice LOL. Sorry for being crabbit at some points but had a great weekend even though both nights I was in bed for midnight LOL.
