You can get turbo balancing done for 50 quid at TurboRebuild.
They do a decent rebuild kit as well come to think of it.

This is a pretty decent rebuild guide for the turbo on a Peugeot.
It'll give you an idea of what you're in for.

vvt does go away when i pull away, its when your sitting stationary its sounds like a tractor! very embarrassing when people start telling you your car does'nt sound healthly!.
As long as nothing is damaged in the turbo you can get away with making a mark on the compressor wheel and nut to keep it balanced.

Thanks R3k1355 thats all i have been watching on youtube is turbo rebuilding video's, well and nikki minaj's new music video!!

Better getting somebody to rebuild it for you including balancing. Cost me £120 including vat to get mine rebuilt and balanced and that way you know its done right and if not it can be taken back.

That's what I thought when he gave me the bill. Auto tune in ballymena, Northern Ireland done it for me. He said if it had of been a common turbo (vw, seat etc) he would just have given me a recon unit of the shelf but because it wasn't that common he just ordered the kit in and rebuilt and balanced it

Well ive got the turbo all broken down ready for a rebuild, was'nt to difficult but would recommend getting decent internal circlip pliers as the compressor housing circlip is a barstard!!!. Rebuild parts have cost me £105.00 including a new turbine wheel and heatsheild as mine where damaged, if anyone else is considering rebuilding their turbo now is the time turborebuild.co.uk have got a 20% off sale on atm.

turborebuild have had some kind of sale on for the last 4 or 5 years.
I take it they're still doing balancing at the 'one time reduced rate' of 50 quid???

Not that I'm moaning, it's ace to have the parts and services readily available at such a good price.

Anything under £200 is a decent price. I thought I got a good deal but apparently not if some of you are getting rebuilds for less than £150 lol

    don't do it yourself

20% off = turbo balancing for £40.00!!, Why not rebuild yourself? as long as you've got the right tools its not to bad to do.
