Lol! My mate(s) are male and female. They are the couple that own the Celica. Who have just judging by the Mazda photo he sent, bought a Mazda, and are not accepting my offer to sort the suspension out, because they aren't paying the bill or picking up the car......

That's a really dumb thing to do, they are still liable for the Celica for tax and MOT, what do they expect to do when the DVLA contact them about not having an MOT or registered the vehicle as SORN in a few weeks?

I so hope the garage takes them to court they sound like a right pair a full on window lickers.

I hope the dvla comes after them too its people like that that strongly help bankrupt places.

You should get better mates, Craig.

Hopefully they didn't get the idea of abandoning the car from this thread.

I'd love to see an update on this thread 6 months from now. I predict a shit-storm.

Normally i dont wish bad things on anyone.

But in this case i hope they both get royally shafted. These kinds of people are why garages go under so easy. Its not exactly a nice job to start with yet alone not being paid.

Why do you call these retards friends?

What a pair of cnuts. Too expensive to pay a bill they owe on, but still had enough money to buy another car.

They can't not pick the car up. If I were that garage, I would be racking up a storage fee at a rate of around £20 a day, I'd say that's fair, and keep invoicing them for their abandoned car. Then, when they do get the chance to take them to court, your mates are doubly fcuked.

even if it goes to court nothing will happen ... the judge will look, see both of them are on benefits and decree that payment only needs to be £5.80 or something.

I imagine the garage will write to the DVLA and request your mate's address (they have legitimate grounds so won't be a problem), then submit a court claim for the outstanding bill + storage, which they will win.

That'll cost the garage around £60 all in and 30 mins on the internet...

So, £500 bill + £600 storage (min 30 days @ £20 a day) + court costs (probs about £200) + fine for not declaring SORN if tax or insurance runs out £1000 + CCJs if they don't pay.

    If there is any justice.

Or possibly the owner of the garage may pay a visit to your friends address and demand money? For all we/you/they know he could be an absolute nut job that will think nothing of smashing the blokes face in?

Always learnt in life dont go pissing people you dont know off, because one day it will be the wrong person and tbh people wont sympathise with you because youve most likely done it to them!

They've thoroughly pissed the garage off and have now left the car in their possession???

    Are they ****ing insane??

The best case scenario is the garage owner turns up on their doorstep and hammers the shit out of one of them.
They should count themselves lucky if he go's through the court route tbh.

I wouldn't be surprised if he takes the car out on the road, thrashes it through every speed camera in a 10 mile radius, performs several drive-off's from petrol station and then dumps it on some double yellow lines for the police to find, impound and then take your mates to court over.

Your mates are a couple of proper knob-ends, they won't have heard the end of this problem.
