Question for the drifter on here

So what do you guys take as spares to drift days?

Got my first drift day at pod in September and thinking of things to take along with me other than my jack, tools tyres and couple of alloys.

What else is handy to have?

Just to add I always carry cable ties, a variety of bolts and nuts and hose clamps lol

Recovery membership card .............only joking! I go with similar stuff to you mate, just get some spare hoses, coil packs, glue, gaffa tape, coolant, oil, powersteering fluid and MORE cable ties!

Youll be fine, just do your usual nut/bolt and fluid level checks the day/night before and enjoy the dfay there, worst case scenario youll have some guys there in other sbodies that may be able to help!

Good luck and enjoy your day out mate, I may even see you there!

worst case scenario theres a guy called Tom Hutchison who runs one of the units literally next door to pod, he's got loads of spare parts, if you ask any of the regulars about him he will probably be there and hopefully theyll point him out to you, thats worst case scenario though

Do 14's tend to through drive shafts?

Seen it talked about a few times but don't personally know anyone that's killed any.

depends on how low you run your car, the lower it is the more extreme the angle of the shaft is, then when your on the power and the car squats it tends to pull the splines on the end of the shaft out of the CV enough to cause the shaft to shear the teeth on the splines, thus rending the shaft useless.

you can buy spacers that push the cv on the diff end out by about 10mm, giving the shaft another 10mm of splines to grip onto. doesnt usually happen to s13's but quite common on s14's
