    Checking visually will very rarely find the leak. Unless its huge. You'd be surprised how it can leak out the smallest of gaps that you cant even see!

    check the compression in the cylinders, which could be a valve not shut well

    definitely do a comp test mate... done mine today, engines ****ed! 9, 8, 8, 3 (bar)....... really bad mood now barely had the car 3 months, havent even driven it hard

    not sure if its been mentioned, i had something similar with mine a few years back the lambda was goosed, disconnect it

    Are there supposed to be two? I only have one ... obviously the exhaust is decat straight through so will that of removed one?

    its on the turbo elbow, you should be able to see it if you look down there, the lead runs up past the manifold it should be white

    got a longblock from Mospin, going to most likely keep mine and start stocking up on internals over the winter (loads of OT at work at xmas) and then hopefully come next summer or at least before this time next year have it all done and drop it back into mine

    Really cant be bothered with stripping it down and finding out whats wrong etc i would have ended up getting another block to build at some point anyway, this has forced that early

    Ahh fair enough.. good idea. Sods law.. got to horsham.. idling problem dissappeared rev counter started working and the boost was spot on. Fecking typical lol

    good good, ive tried soldering my rev counter it never worked, will have to get some new clocks, will have to get up there and get a map when the new engine is in

    I'm gonna get my mate to have a stab at mine can't hurt to try.

    I need the coilys fitted next weeknd then need to get 4 wheel alignment done. Poly bushes make everything sounf clunkier.. I thought my prop was knackered lol turns out it's the stiffer bushes making everything noisier
