    T28 exhaust housings

    Hi guys,

As few may know I have a FWD Nissan Pulsar GTI (HN15).

I've just swapped my turbo over from a clocked S15 Journal Bearing turbo with a .64 housing

    To a Pulsar GTI-R turbo with a .86 housing.

the car hasn't been mapped with either yet as I've just built the engine. But I have driven my previous engine mapped, on the .64

My question is what are the differences between the two. It doesn't seem like a massive change but I know it can make a big difference.

I assume it's just the spool RPM and powerband will be slightly later and produce more torque?

    Cheers for reading.

    Mike.

pretty much yes, slightly higher revs to get full boost, more power capable
AND holding higher boost to the redline not dropping off before the red bit,
similar (sort of) to going from a T25 > T28,
a good EBC could drop the spool time/lower the revs on boost point and give you a wider power band
the internal gate will always be its down fall, go external for proper boost control imo

    Haha I have that!

In terms of the Waste gate. What is the issue with it? I'm not going to be pulling massive power in a FWD just enough to have fun on track etc.
