2003 Audi A6 V6 2.5TDi
I know someone that has a 2003 Audi A6 with a 2.5 TDi V6 engine. He thinks his cam belt has snapped! (I don't know anything further at this point)
My first search on the net shows that there's more than one belt on these engines and that sometimes you get lucky with no valve/cam/piston damage and other times you get a hefty repair bill.
Can anyone on this great owners club offer me advice on the 2.5 TDi V6 engine?
Thanks

A. It's a shit sluggish thirsty engine.
B. There are two belts one is for the pump only and is not under tension so won't snap, the main belt however will 100% without fail cause piston to valve contact if it snaps
